Before designing a city, we built a house. The "Zero House" (constructed and monitored 2016-17) served as our real-world laboratory to test and validate our core principles of self-sufficiency. 

The achieved metrics — including near-zero waste, complete energy and water autonomy, and a daily operational cost of just €0.47 per resident — provided the empirical data and the confidence to scale these principles to an urban level. The Zero House is the proven foundation upon which the Zero City is built.

This is a scientific framework for creating urban environments that are architecturally engineered to promote physical and mental equilibrium. It is the 'why' behind every design decision, ensuring our cities are not just efficient, but fundamentally desirable places to live.

Based on third-level cybernetics, the CMSE3/SCC model is a system of checks and balances that ensures all decisions maintain a symmetric equilibrium between efficiency, sustainability, and human wellbeing.
